Covid 'Delta-plus' vaccination campaign expanding in Rajasthan, India

The first instance of the 'Delta-plus' coronavirus strain was discovered in Bikaner in Rajasthan. Approximately 80 nations have found the so-called 'Delta Plus' variety, including India, the USA, the UK and Russia.

The Indian health professionals vaccinated using Covaxin and Covishield in Beawar, Rajasthan, on Sunday 27 June during a vaccination campaign. Bikaner discovered the first instance of the 'Delta Plus' coronavirus strain in Rajasthan. 

The test sample of a lady who has been tested for coronavirus was sent for genome sequencing at the National Institute of Virology in Pune on 30 May and her test result was submitted on 25 June. This was the first verified occurrence in the state of the Delta-plus variant. 

The so-called Delta Plus variation has been identified in about 80 nations such as India, the United States, the United Kingdom, Portugal, Switzerland, Japan, Nepal, Poland, China and Russia.
